Invicta FC 29 Official Results and Video Recap

On Friday, May 4, 2018 Invicta Fighting Championships hosted Invicta FC 29: Kaufman vs. Lehner from the Scottish Rite Temple in Kansas City, Mo. The event streamed live and exclusively on UFC Fight Pass.

In the main event, Sarah Kaufman secured a submission victory over Katharina Lehner in the third round. In round one both fighters wanted  to end this fight quick with no feeling-out process as they started exchanging punches. Kaufman was throwing combinations but Lehner came back with heavy right hands. In the second round Kaufman was able to secure double underhooks and was able to get the takedown. She tried sinking in an arm-triangle choke, but Lehner was able to escape. In the third round Kaufman took her down opened up a large cut on Lehner with her ground and pound. Kaufman was able to sink in the rear-naked choke and that’s when Lehner tapped. Kaufman is now the new champion in the bantamweight division. 

In the night’s co-main event, Pannie Kianzad defeated Bianca Daimoni. Throughout the three rounds the boxing skills of Kianzad were on display. Daimoni tried to attack with kicks of her own but was out of range. During the second round Kianzad dropped Diamoni with a left hook. In the last round was pretty much the same as Kianzad frequently connected the head of Daimoni with her jab. Pannie Kianzad defeats Bianca Daimoni by unanimous decision.  

Also on the card we saw Pearl Gonzalez taking on Bárbara Acioly and this fight did not last long. Gonzalez was able to secure a first-round armbar finish at the 1:30 mark. Marciea Allen went against Julia Avila scoring a first-round TKO after Julia Avila suffered an injury to her finger. Marciea Allen defeats Julia Avila by TKO via finger injury in Round 1 at the 0:49 mark. Liz Tracy and Cheri Muraski went the distance with Tracy getting the unanimous decision win.

Lisa Spangler and Sarah Kleczka went back-and-forth during their fight. Spangler damaged the lead leg of Kleczka with leg kicks. Kleczka answered back with overhand rights and kicks to the body. Spangler was successful with her takedown attempts dropping heavy hammerfists. Lisa Spangler defeats Sarah Kleczka by unanimous decision.

After a hard-fought three rounds Macy Chiasson defeated Allison Schmidt. Chiasson repeatedly scored with punches which caused the face of Schmidt to swell up. Schmidt was always looking to bring the fight to the mat but Chiasson’s takedown defense was on point and continued to score on the feet. After three rounds Macy Chiasson defeated Allison Schmidt by unanimous decision. 

To start the night Helen Peralta defeated Cheyanne Vlismas with her first professional loss. It was a back and forth fight in all three rounds. Peralta scored kicks and her hands did damage as she dropped Vlismas with a right straight-left hook combination. Vlismas was able to survive the onslaught and was able to press the action in the final round. Helen Peralta defeated Cheyanne Vlismas by unanimous decision.
