KANSAS CITY, Kan. – Invicta Fighting Championships has released the latest episode of its “Immersed” video series that takes viewers through an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at its events.
In this episode, viewers can relive Invicta FC 44: A New Era which included title fights in the strawweight and bantamweight divisions.
The main event featured one of the greatest knockouts in Invicta history, as Emily Ducote stopped UFC veteran Danielle Taylor with a head kick. The victory not only earned Ducote the 115-pound belt, but also a spot on SportsCenter’s Top 10.
Additionally, a new champion was crowed at 135 pounds, as Phoenix Tournament 3 winner Taneisha Tennant concluded her ascension through the division by besting Lisa Verzosa by decision. New York’s Tennant has yet to taste defeat in the Invicta cage through five appearances.
