Is Brock Lesnar’s WWE Career In Jeopardy?

As WrestleMania 40 is only a few months away, it’s still unknown whether Brock Lesnar will return for the biggest wrestling show of the year, especially as his name is part of the ongoing sex-trafficking allegations of Vince McMahon. Someone who’s been out of action since losing to Cody Rhodes at last year’s SummerSlam 2023 PPV, it’s no secret that Brock Lesnar doesn’t have much going on right now regarding, as many feel his in-ring career may be ending soon.
With that said, it’s been rumored that Brock Lesnar is facing current reigning Intercontinental Champion Gunther at WrestleMania 40, the longest-reigning Intercontinental Champion in WWE history. Brock Lesnar facing Gunther in a singles match is something that many fans have been clamoring for the past couple of years, as the two powerhouse brutes squaring off seems enticing on paper. And considering that Gunther is capable of putting on incredible matches, much like his WrestleMania 39 match with Drew McIntyre and Sheamus, there’s no doubt he’d be able to do the same thing with Brock Lesnar.
The idea of Brock Lesnar facing Gunther in a singles match is also beneficial because it could elevate Gunther as more of a credible threat in the ring. Even though Brock Lesnar recently put over Cody Rhodes at last year’s SummerSlam 2023 PPV, Brock Lesnar’s in a position where he could still elevate another talent like Gunther. Brock Lesnar hasn’t taken enough losses to where his putting over Gunther would be meaningless like many other past WWE veterans in recent years.
However, with Brock Lesnar’s name brought up regarding the horrific allegations towards Vince McMahon, he may not even return to WWE anytime soon, let alone face Gunther in a singles match. And with Vince McMahon recently stepping down from TKO Group Holdings, one could only observe where these allegations are heading, as this could end the careers of many high-profile figures in WWE, including Brock Lesnar.
