Israel Adesanya confident of win over Alex Pereira at UFC 287: ‘I’m always winning until I’m not’

Despite failing to topple Brazilian behemoth, Alex Pereira in three separate combat sports outings, former middleweight champion, Israel Adesanya boasts his confidence of breaking hid duct this weekend at UFC 287 in his title rematch.
Headlining the ‘Sunshine State’ event in Miami, Adesanya attempts to move to 1-2 against Pereira across combat sports, as well as regain his seat on the undisputed middleweight throne.
Last time out, Adesanya headlined UFC 281 back in November of last year, renewing his rivalry with former two-weight GLORY Kickboxing champion, Pereira.
And despite leading the dance and all three judge’s scorecards ahead of the final round, Adesanya was stopped for the first time in his professional mixed martial arts career, with Sao Paulo knockout ace, Pereira felling the former with a barrage of strikes at the Octagon fence in the final frame.
Weighing up this weekend’s championship re-run with his bitter rival, Adesanya who has dropped a prior KO loss and decision defeat to Pereira, admits he’s confident of emerging victorious this time around, pointing to his success against Brazilian prior to losses.
“F*ck all the bullsh*t,” Israel Adesanya told DC & RC during a recent appearance. “He (Alex Pereira) and know, f*ck the fans, the reporters, all that. He and I know exactly what I can do to him. I know what he can do to me. Each time I’ve fought him. I’m always winning until I’m not. If it was like – say he just beat my ass from f*cking bell to bell, then f*ck, I’d probably still be this confident, I’d still talk sh*t, but it’s not been the case.”
“I’m always beating him,” Israel Adesanya explained. “I’m always dominating him until he finds that way to win.”
