Jack Cartwright vs Manuel Bilić booked for title fight in Manchester
Manchester’s own world bantamweight champion Jack Cartwright (7-0) will make the first defence of his title against Manuel “Sugar” Bilić (15-6) at CW112.
Cartwright will headline the card in his home city on March 7th, after an incredible 2019 saw him enter the spotlight with double knockouts over Scott Malone and Marko Kovacevic to win the Bantamweight Title Tournament.
In one night, the Manchester native went from a relatively unknown name on the Cage Warriors roster to a world champion and one of Europe’s most feared bantamweight knockout artists.
Now, Cartwright is determined to solidify his champion status with a successful first defence.
Meeting him at the Manchester BEC Arena is Manuel Bilić, fighting out of Linz, Austria, who challenges for the belt with three times the fight experience of Cartwright and a similarly impressive finish rate.
Bilić’s last Cage Warriors appearance saw him finish Bryan Creighton at CW101 in a performance that earned him a nomination for 2019’s Submission of the Year.
Other names announced on the CW112: Manchester card include former champion James Webb, rising Welterweight prospect Adam Proctor and North West fan favourites Martin Stapleton, Adam Ventre and Mick Stanton.
Stay tuned for new fight announcements coming later this week!
Tickets are still available HERE and start at just £25.
