ALBUQUERQUE, NM: Jackson Wink MMA, a world-renowned and premier Mixed Martial Arts training academy located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, announced its next event as it will host Jackson Wink Fight Night 5 Weigh-in Results.
FightBook MMA has your official results. This event takes place at the Jackson Wink Academy at 301 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Ave, Albuquerque, NM 87102 on September 8, 2023.
In the main event, we will see in the 125 lbs division, Jesse “The Tornado” Tafoya fighting out of Albuquerque, NM will take on David “BAM” Miramontes fighting out of San Antonio, TX.
In the co-main event, in the 170 lbs division, we will see Travis “The Sauce” Foster fighting out of Albuquerque, NM will face Caleb Crump fighting out of Pariah, Colorado Springs, CO.

Pro MMA
Main Event Flyweight 126 lbs.: (R) Jesse Tafoya vs (B) David Miramontes
Round 1: Both fighters start this fight fast and furious. Jesse landing some hard punches and spinning back fist that lands on the body of David. They end up on the mat and both fighters fusing thier grappling skills. David on his feet but Jejsse finishes the fight with a submission.
Winner: Jesse with a submission heel hook at the 2:18 mark
Co-main event Welterweight 172 lbs.: (R) Travis Foster vs (B) Caleb Crumb
Round 1: Feel out process for these pros. They do land thier own shots and scramble on the ground.
Round 2: Crump looking the mnore agreesor in this round. Crump landing the more significatn strikes on the feet. Crump able to take down Travis and takes side control. He lands elbown and uses his ground and pound. Crump looking for the submission but Travis is able to defend.
Round 3: Crump with the slight edge of controling this round. They each land hard shots. TRavis is able to take down Crump and has top control looking for the submission. Crump with the fast scramble and avoids any damage.
Winner: Travis by split decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)
Amateur MMA
Bantamweight 136 lbs.: (R) Samuel Walker vs. (B) Esai Dimas
Round 1: They start the fight exchanging kicks until Esai takes Samuel down. He ends up top control but Samuel stops the fight with a submission.
Winner: Samuel by submission guillotine choke 0:53
Featherweight 146 lbs.: (R) Clark Ginn vs. (B) Eric Flores
Round 1: Both fighters are able to land their shots. Clark gets side control. They work on the ground and end up on their feet. Clark lands a hard punch that drops Eric and Clark takes advantage and lands several punches until the bell rings.
Round 2: Clark lands a hard right that drops Eric and Clark drops bombs.
Winner: Clark by KO at the 0:13 mark
Catchweight 151 lbs.: (R) Alex Rodriguez vs. (B) Santiago Gonzales
Round 1: Santiago waited patiently and lands a hard punch that startled Alex. Santiago started to land several punches against the cage. Both fighters had their own knockdowns and submission attempts.
Round 2: Alex with the clinch and throws Santiago and Alex drops several punches and elbows. The ref saw enough and stopped the fight.
Winner: Alex by TKO ref stoppage at the 1:47 mark.
Flyweight 126 lbs.: (R) Bryce Kettle vs. (B) Donovan Garcia
Round 1: Donovan takes no time to land hard shots and takes him to the mat and starts to use his ground and pound. Bryce using his guard control. Donovan stays on top control until the bell rings.
Round 2: This round is more of the same as round 1. Both fighters landing their shots. This round could go either way.
Round 3: Donavan takes full control beginning of the fight. Donavan with a nice body throw, lands on top control.
Winner: Donovan by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)
Welterweight 171 lbs.: (R) Ryan Lavache vs. (B) Isaiah Zamora
Round 1: They start the fight quickly with Ryan landing a flying kick. They exchange strikes. Ryan putting that pressure and landing solid punches. Isiah at the end of the round started to land some solid jabs and kicks.
Round 2: Ryan lands a hard leg kick. Isaiah also landed his punches. Both fighters are trying to land the finishing strike. Ryan still looks fresh after a fast-paced first round. This round could go either way as both fighters land significant strikes.
Round 3: Isaiah starts the fight strong landing a hard punch to the face. Ryan lands a hard kick to the leg that drops Isaiah. Ryan makes Isaiah get up. Both fighters land significant strikes. Could go either way.
Winner: Ryan Lavache by unanimous decision (29-28, 20-27, 29-28)
Amateur Kickboxing 165 lbs.: (R) Jacob Saiz vs (B) Christopher Lucero
Round 1: They start off strikes until Jacob lands a head kick that drops Christopher and is unable to get up. The ref stops the fight.
