Sochi, Russia – Jahongir Saidjamolov will face the toughest opponent of his career in Abdisalam Kubanychbek this weekend. However, according to the heavy-handed Lightweight he already has ”The Omok” all figured out.
Ahead of the scheduled fight between the Kyrgyz and the Tajikistani stars in the BRAVE CF 46 main card bout, Jahongir explained why he fully expects the fight to go his way. Although admitting that Kubanychbek is a formidable opponent, Jahongir believes he has vast experience in dealing with wrestle-heavy martial artists like Kubanychbek. This experience, he says, will yield him the victory as he will be able to nullify the takedown threat from his counterpart.
“I know his fighting style very well. I have faced and defeated many opponents with a similar fighting style in my career who try to come forward at me and go for takedowns. I’m ready for this.” he said.
He also expressed his gratitude for the immense support he received from Tajikistani fans. “I only have good feelings and I’m very happy with the supportI receive. Unfortunately, I don’t have the time to reply to everyone, many people are messaging me, and I’m very happy with the support I have. I’m glad that so many people are with me and support me.”
Abdysalam Kubanychbek holds a professional record of 16 wins and only three losses. On the other hand, Jahongir Saidjamolov’s pro record is 14-4.
BRAVE CF 46 takes place on January 16, in Sochi, Russia. The event is headlined by the Super Lightweight champion Eldar Eldarov’s title bout against challenger Leonardo Mafra.
