A featherweight rematch between longtime competitors, Jordan ‘Native Psycho’ Griffin, and Darrick Minner is slated to feature at UFC Fight Night Vegas on June 13th. – with the UFC APEX facility in Nevada taking hosting honours.

Griffin and Minner initially met back in March of 2018, with the former coming away with a late second-round armbar victory when both men challenged under the Legacy Fighting Alliance banner. In his sole Octagon win, Griffin bested TJ Brown with a second-frame guillotine in his last outing. Nebraska-based veteran, Minner dropped his premier promotional matchup, losing via first-round rear-naked choke to Grant Dawson in February.

Following a 2017 submission of Maurice Mitchell on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contenders Series, Griffin signed a multi-fight deal with the UFC. After a unanimous decision loss to division upstart, Dan Ige in December of 2018, Griffin eventually clashed with Chas Skelly, after a failed pairing the first time around. Losing a judging shutout, the Roufusport trainee would go on to finally break his promotional duct, with his above-noted win over Brown.

With a record of 24-11, 30-year-old challenger, Minner presents one of the most experienced players on the promotion’s featherweight books. Minner also featured on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contenders Series in August of last year – dropping a first-round triangle to UFC 250 feature, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu world champion, Herbert ‘The Blaze’ Burns. From his twenty-four professional wins, Minner has submitted twenty-one of his opponents – a truly remarkable feat.
