Jose Torres, Eduardo Mora and Edgar Torres give back to the students of Bogota, Colombia

BRAVE CF 73 is still a few days away, and BRAVE Combat Federation’s superstars have already put a smile on fight fans’ faces in Latin America.

On August 12, BRAVE Combat Federation will celebrate its 73rd global event in Bogota, Colombia,  where 18 athletes from nine nations will meet inside the BRAVE CF cage to compete for honors in the most-global MMA promotion.

BRAVE CF 73 will make history as it forms part of the BRAVE Pan-American Combat Week – making the week-long event the largest combat sports festival in Colombia. BRAVE Combat Federation prides itself on making a positive impact, and today was no different when three BRAVE CF stars visited a school in Bogota.

USA’s Jose “Shorty” Torres, Colombia’s Eduardo Mora, and Peru’s Edgar Torres know what it’s like to be supported by fans worldwide, and today was their turn to give back when they visited the Carlos Arango Velez High School to partake in various activities with the institution’s students and offer words of wisdom to the more than 120 children. The High School puts a lot of emphasis on combat sports training and includes Taekwondo, Judo, and various other martial arts programs that aim to instill discipline and assist youngsters in their daily lives. Jose, Eduardo, and Edgar showed their support by partaking in a lecture at the school, and their presence was well-received by educators and learners who were in awe of these global stars.

Torres is on the verge of competing in the biggest fight of his career when he meets South Africa’s Nkosi Ndebele for the vacant BRAVE CF Bantamweight Championship in the main event of BRAVE CF 73.  Mora is equally about to fight in one of the most important bouts of his professional career when he faces Trinidad and Tobago’s Keron Bourne in a must-win fight Bantamweight bout following a tough run of late. Edgar will look to make his mentor – Jose – proud when he makes his debut in the BRAVE CF cage on the undercard brought to you by the Latin Fighter Championship. Edgar will face Colombia’s very own Carlos Toro in a Flyweight match-up.

In the BRAVE CF Pan-American Combat Week, we will see the beginning of the Pan-American Championships, which will see amateur athletes from North, South, and Central America all compete under the IMMAF banner for further honors. It will be the perfect cherry on Bogota’s 485th-anniversary cake, and the week-long fight festival will add to the festivities of the City. The BRAVE Pan-American Combat Week will be governed by the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) in partnership with BRAVE CF, the Colombian Association of Mixed Martial Arts (OCAMM), and in co-promotion with Latin Fighter Championship (LFC).
