Joshua Weaver makes his CFC debut against Najee Blackwell at CFC 8

Murfreesboro, Tennessee: Johnathan Ivey’s Cage Fighting Championships is starting 2020 with HUGE BANG! The promotion is ready and will be hosting CFC 8. The event will take place on March 7th in Murfreesboro Tennessee at the MID TEN EXPO.

In this night of action we will see Joshua Weaver who trains in Shelbyville Tennessee under Shelbyville BJJ owner Kenny Vanderpool. He is current teammates with CFC veterans Bo Williams, Jose Arriaga and Alex Pardo. March 7th Weaver makes his CFC debut against Nagee Blackwell at CFC 8.

We are only two weeks away from your CFC debut! We know you train with a lot of CFC veterans, how has training been going in preparation for March 7th?

Training has been going great just striving to do better and get stronger every day!

We don’t know a lot about you here at FightBook MMA, for the CFC fans that will be in attendance March 7th for your CFC debut. What can they expect to see from you?

I guarantee the CFC supporters their moneys worth and they will be on the edge of their seats the length of our Bout!!

Your taking on the tough Najee Blackwell. Have you had a chance to watch any of his fights? If so what did you think of him and how do you see the fight between you two playing out?

I have not seen much film on Najee Blackwell but that is fine at our academy we train to be ready for a little bit of everything. I have heard of good things going for my opponents striking ill be sure to give him the respect he deserves and earn mine as well

Shortly after your fight March 7th there will be another fight in the welterweight division. James Hairston vs Ivan Lucas for the vacant CFC welterweight title. Do you have a prediction on that fight and would you like to potentially fight the winner?

I don’t know much about either of the other welterweights fighting that night but I wish them both the best

Joshua is there anyone you would like to thank or show some love to before we close out the interview. The floor is yours…

I would like thank my head coach Kenny Vanderpool for everything he does to help me better myself not only as fighter but as man in my everyday walk and come march 7th I will show my appreciation! Secondly I want to show some love to my team for being there everyday working hard!
