The fight has for KSW 54 this Saturday night in Warsaw, Poland has been finalized. An injury in the main event forced Shamil Musaev off the card and as a result submission specialist Marian ‘Golden Boy’ Ziolkowski (21-7-1) stepped up to challenge KSW lightweight champion Mateusz Gamrot (16-0) in the main event.
Gamrot, who trains regularly at ATT in Florida, is the KSW featherweight and lightweight champion and is widely regarded as one of the best in Europe and holds career wins over Mansour Barnaoui, Andre Winner, Marif Piraev, Kleber Koike Erbst, and became the first man in a decade to stop Norman Parke.
In the co-main event former international heavyweight boxing champion Izu Ugonoh (0-0) will make his professional MMA debut against French monster Quentin ‘Ruskov’ Domingos (5-1), who is making his promotional debut. Ugonoh set up camp for his MMA debut at the renowned WCA Fight Team in Poland and is home to the likes of Jan Blachowicz, Damian Janikowski, and Daniel Omielańczuk.
Leading up to the main and co-main event there will be an explosive heavyweight rematch between KO artist Michal Andryszak (21-8) and veteran Michal Kita (19-11-1). Combined they have thirty-six stoppage victories and an insane 90% finishing ratio. Andryszak took just nine seconds to win his last contest in July while Kita finished Igor Pokrajac in thirty-seven seconds in his last fight in June, thus prompting an exciting rematch between the duo.
