This week the nominations for the Fighters Only World MMA Awards were announced and for the fourth straight year KSW has been nominated for ‘Best Promotion’ while for the third consecutive year KSW CEO Martin Lewandowski is up for ‘Leading Man of the Year’.

Since the last awards KSW has seen continued growth domestically and internationally. The promotion celebrated 50 events in 15 years with the KSW 50 showcase in London, England last September and followed this with a hugely successful debut event in Zagreb, Croatia with KSW 51 – making it the fourth market KSW has staged events in after Poland, UK, and Ireland.
This event also saw the very first KSW bantamweight champion crowned as Croatia’s own Antun Racic defeated Poland’s Damian Stasiak to lift the title in front of his home country. He now joins a list of international champions in KSW, a list that includes Phil De Fries (heavyweight, UK), Scott Askham (middleweight, UK), Roberto Soldic (welterweight, Croatia), Norman Parke (interim-lightweight, Northern Ireland), and Salahdine Parnasse (interim-featherweight, France).
Poland’s Tomasz Narkun (light heavyweight) and Mateusz Gamrot (lightweight & featherweight) remain kings of their respective divisions in KSW and two of Europe’s top ranked fighters.
KSW finished 2019 with one of the biggest events in the promotion’s history. KSW 52 was a sold out event with 15,000 fans in attendance at the Arena Gliwice. They watched on as Scott Askham solidified himself in KSW by defeating the legend Mamed Khalidov and witnessed a war between Polish Olympic heroes as gold medalist in weightlifting Szymon Kolecki TKO’d bronze medalist in wrestling Damian Janikowski.
Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, KSW’s events in the first half of 2020 were cancelled. However, KSW did launch the first season of their new reality TV show in 2020 named ‘Tylko Jeden’ (translation: Only One) which saw competitors fight weekly for a KSW contract. The show was a huge hit in Poland and was one of the most watched programmes across the 16-59 demographics for the entire season.
Also in 2020 the official KSW App was launched and it allows fans to watch KSW events live on their mobile device and have more access to the ever growing world of KSW. This is now available on iOS and Android.
KSW will return next week with KSW 53: Reborn on July 11th live from a studio in Warsaw, Poland. The main event will see a title unification bout between heated rivals Norman Parke and Mateusz Gamrot, a co-main event contest between popular former champs Marcin Wrzosek and Borys Mankowski, and the return of Polish legend Tomasz Drwal.
This event will be available live globally on KSWTV.com and through the KSW App in addition to our various TV & streaming partners globally.
