LION FIGHT RE-SIGNS TRIO OF TOP STARS

Three of LION FIGHT’s most popular competitors have agreed to new multi-fight exclusive contracts with the elite Muay Thai organization.
Lion Fight 65 takes place on Friday, April 9 at the Tony’s Event Center in Salina, Kansas, USA. Tickets are available at www.lionfight.com.
Fresh off his viral sensation knockout win at Lion Fight 64, reigning World and North American Super Cruiserweight champion Steve “Put ’Em To Sleep” Walker has signed a contract extension, as has North American heavyweight title contender Warren “Destroyer” Thompson, and rising star Jake “Lee” Peacock, who will return to action at Lion Fight 65 coming April 9th on UFC FIGHT PASS®.
“We are incredibly thrilled to have all three of these fan favorites signed to new contracts and we are looking forward to seeing them showcase their talent inside our ring,” said LION FIGHT CEO Scott Kent.
“People around the world have been talking about Steve Walker’s spectacular knockout and they want more of him. We will have news on that very soon.
“Warren Thompson certainly made himself a standout name in the heavyweight division at Lion Fight 64 and there is a lot of buzz about him facing Joe Stripling for title this summer. And of course, the world has become enthralled with Jake Peacock. He is immensely talented, but the way he conducts himself and his fortitude are absolutely something special.”
Walker (9-0) retained his North American title in Hutchinson, Kansas, USA, with an incredible tornado kick KO of Brian Collette in a fight that lasted a mere 46 seconds. The Boston, Massachusetts, USA, product expressed his desire to get back in the ring right away, but this time to defend his World title.

“I really appreciate Lion Fight re-signing me,” said Walker. “This just lets me know that with hard work and dedication, your dream can come true.”
Thompson (11-8) endeared himself to the Lion Fight crowd with a strong outing at Lion Fight 64 where he knocked off top-seeded Cody East in the semi-final round of the North American Heavyweight Title Tournament. The Atlanta, Georgia, USA, product battled back to pull out the victory by dominating the fifth and final round.

“This is a proud moment for me,” said Thompson of signing his new contract. “I have been in this game 16 years. Lion Fight, from top to bottom, is class. I am just privileged for this opportunity.”
Peacock will be looking to extend his unbeaten streak and catapult himself into the welterweight title scene when he faces Kaleb Hunter at Lion Fight 65. The Calgary, Alberta, Canada, product has ripped through his opposition inside the Lion Fight ring, scoring a hat trick of knockout finishes, including a third-round stoppage of Lee Walton in his last outing in Ireland.

“I am thrilled to be signing a new, multi-fight contract with Lion Fight,” said Peacock. “Soon you will see me holding the North American belt, the European belt, and then the Lion Fight World championship belt. Most importantly, the fans will get what they pay for everytime.”
