Stephen Loman responded to the statement from Frans Mlambo challenging for a rematch for the bantamweight championship of Brave Combat Federation. Mlambo is a former IMMAF gold medalist and trains at Straight Blast Gym Ireland under John Kavanagh. Mlambo had recently won the bantamweight fight between Felipe Efrain at Brave 10: The Kingdom Rises hosted at Amman, Jordan. In the press conference, Mlambo had stated his future ambitions and announced that he will be looking forward to fight Stephen Loman from Team Lakay who is also the Bantamweight champion. Loman faced Mlambo in the inaugural fight of the promotion, Brave: The Beginning hosted in Bahrain. Loman outwrestled Mlambo and won the fight by unanimous decision.
With a rematch with Loman, Mlambo aims to avenge his first loss in the promotion as well as to claim the championship title from the Team Lakay sensation. Loman responded congratulating the challenger and accepting the proposed fight to defend his championship at Brave Combat Federation. Stephen Loman had stood out as one of the iconic champions of the promotion representing Philippines and has nine wins in his professional career, with a four-fight win streak. He had claimed the championship after knocking Gurdarshan Mangat in the very first round at Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions. The victory propelled him to the status of an emerging youth icon. Loman, a student from the University of Cordilleras received the Super Athlete of the Year trophy at the Kafagway International Sports Luminary Awards (KISLA).
