Luan Miau campaigns for rematch against Cleiton Predator, at BRAVE CF 35

With Guram Kutateladze unable to compete at BRAVE CF 35 due to a rib injury, the challenger spot is now vacant, with less than a month for the title fight. The quick turn of events made the former Lightweight world champion Luan “Miau” Santiago start a social media campaign in order to fill in for Kutateladze and gain his much-anticipated rematch against Cleiton “Predator”, who took his title back in August, 2019.

Fans and supporters of the Brazilian invaded BRAVE CF official Instagram, making a post of the promotion asking who should be Cleiton Predator’s new opponent get more than 100 comments in less than one hour. Literally all of them said that Miau should be given his revenge against his fellow Brazilian champion.

Cleiton Predator and Luan Miau’s last encounter ended in a shocking submission by the Predator in the very first round, in front of his home crowd in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Since then, the champion is absent of the BRAVE CF Arena, waiting for his first title defense. Meanwhile, Miau bounced back a few months later, when he beat Gadzhimusa Gaziev in BRAVE CF 29, in Bahrain.

BRAVE CF 35 marks the fifth visit of the world’s fastest-growing MMA promotion to Brazil and will take place on March 28, in Balneário Camboriú. Still without a confirmed main event, since Guram Kutateladze’s withdrawal from the card, the night will be co-headlined by the Super Lightweight match between Leonardo “Macarrão” Mafra and Carl “The Bomber” Booth.

The event will also count with the first two matches of the prestigious BRAVE CF Flyweight World Title Tournament, both valid for the Group A: Flávio de Queiroz vs Malcolm Gordon and Matheus Nicolau vs Jose “Shorty” Torres.
