Lucas Rosa meets Geovanni Gomez for the Rize Featherweight Title on June 17

In the main event, we will see a Featherweight Championship bout as Lucas Rosa (6-0) fighting out of Boca Raton, Florida will face Geovanni Gomez (4-2) fighting out of Homestead, Florida. Rosa is undefeated in his young MMA career winning his last bout against Paul Winters by TKO at Rize FC: Alpha Warrior. Gomez is stepping into the cage after losing his last bout against Danny Castillo by a hard-fought split decision at 305 Fights 13.

Lucas spoke to FightBook MMA about his title fight: “To me, fighting is a very personal thing. When I step into the octagon, I’m showing a very vulnerable part of myself. There are a lot of sacrifices that go into this, all the mental and physical hard work that goes into preparation, so to be able to have such a massive platform, the main event at the hard rock casino, is a blessing that not many fighters experience. I get to go in there and show who I am, and what I can become, in one of the biggest venues to ever host an amateur fight— that’s special. I’m impressed with my opponent, but he’s not taking this away from me. It’s that simple. I will pour my heart and mind into this fight, and will use every fiber of my being to go in there and finish him.”

Also on the card, we will see Dakota Trice (4-1) fighting out of Tampa, Florida taking on Llewelyn Wilson. Trice is coming into this fight losing his last bout against Kayde Burton by TKO at Combat Quest 18, before that loss, he was on a four-fight win streak. The promotion also announced two female bouts as Astrid Frangie (0-1-0) fighting out of Paramaribo, Suriname will take on Bianca Rosales fighting out of Florida. In the second fight, we will see Gracie Grecco fighting out Chatham, Virginia meet Juliana Fontoura.
