In a contest that has ‘Fight of the Night’ written all over it, Marcin ‘The Polish Zombie’ Wrzosek (13-5) meets Brazil’s Daniel Torres (8-4) at KSW 47 on March 23 at the Atlas Arena in Lodz, Poland.
A former KSW champion, Wrzosek had a tough time with injuries throughout 2018 but made his return at KSW 46 in December after a year out of action. However, he dropped a decision loss to undefeated French sensation Salahdine Parnasse. Now the former TUF competitor has a chance to jumped straight back in there and get back to winning ways and work himself back towards the featherweight title picture.
After making his KSW debut in 2018, Brazil’s Daniel Torres has made an immediate impression with his two performances inside the KSW arena earning ‘Fight of the Night’ honours on both occasions. At KSW 44 he pipped Filip Wolanski to a judges decision and at KSW 46 he was on the wrong side of the scorecards against Roman Szymanski, both very entertaining performances.
A win here for either man sets them up nicely for a potential run at the title 2019.
This fight joins a stacked KSW 47 fight card that features a Champ vs. Champ headliner between heavyweight champ Phil De Fries (16-6) and light heavyweight champ Tomasz Narkun (16-2), Five Time World’s Strongest Man Mariusz Pudzianowski (12-6) vs. Olympic Gold Medalist Powerlifter Szymon Kolecki (6-1) and a clash between former welterweight champions Borys Mankowski (19-7-1) vs. Dricus Du Plessis (12-2).
