155-pound prospect, Max Rohskopf has reportedly been released from the UFC – following his short-notice loss to Austin ‘Thud’ Hubbard at UFC Fight Night Vegas in June.

The nature in which Rohskopf’s promotional debut came to an end, drew much attention – after the talented grappler retired on his stool ahead of the final round, instructing head-coach, Robert Drysdale to “call” the fight on multiple occasions.

The 25-year-old made a bright start against Hubbard, but as the fight progressed, Rohskopf appeared notably fatigued before eventually calling off his match from his stool ahead of the third and final frame. News of Rohskopf’s release from the organization was initially penned by MMA Fighting reporters, Damon Martin and Guilherme Cruz.

The fight’s tide began to turn drastically from the beginning of the second round against Hubbard – with Rohskopf’s output taking a notable hit, while the former began to increase his pace, landing a total forty-five of his seventy-three attempted strikes in that frame.

The Zenith MMA trainee comes from a successful amateur wrestling background – based out of North Carolina State University. With a professional record of 5-1 – Rohskopf has managed to pick up victories over Zach Zane, Paulo Silva, Jonathan Morris, Omar Hussein, and Vincent Arrendondo. From those five triumphs – Rohskopf has secured five finishes, wide an array of anaconda, and rear-naked choke stoppages.
