Mike Perry vs. Mickey Gall targeted for UFC event on June 27th.

A welterweight pairing between ‘Platinum’ Mike Perry, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu player, Mickey Gall is in the works for a UFC Fight Night event on June 27th. – with a location and venue yet to be confirmed by the promotion.

Entertaining striker, Perry will look to bring a halt to a two-fight slide – losing via first-round head kick to division prospect, Geoff ‘Handz of Steel’ Neal at UFC 245 in December. Gall, on the other hand, will attempt to extend his winning run to two, following a unanimous decision rebound against Salim Touahri in August last year. News of the expected pairing was initially reported by ESPN writer, Brett Okamoto.

One of the most outspoken members of the UFC’s welterweight division, boxing-based striker, Perry also presents one of the most active members on the promotion’s books. Since his debut in August of 2016 – the Michigan native has competed three times per year since.

The 28-year-old holds notable wins over Hyun Gyu Lim, Danny Roberts, Jake Ellenberger, ‘Cowboy’ Oliveira, and a razor-thin split decision loss to Paul Felder. In high profile defeats, the Fusion XL Academy trainee dropped results to Alan Jouban, Max Griffin, Santiago Ponzinibbio, another close judging to Vicente Luque, and an armbar loss to Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone. Submission specialist, Gall is expected to make his first Octagon appearance since his aforementioned win at UFC Fight Night Norfolk.
