Nate Landwehr vs. Shane Young slated for UFC event on September 26th.

A featherweight matchup between former M1-Global featherweight titleholder, Nate ‘The Train’ Landwehr and Kiwi prospect, ‘Sugar’ Shane Young is set for a UFC Fight Night event on September 26th. – with a location or venue yet to be confirmed by the promotion.
Recently returning to winning ways, 32-year-old striker, Landwehr battled to a hugely entertaining unanimous judging win over 145-pound veteran, Darren ‘The Damage’ Elkins – scoring his first Octagon victory at UFC Fight Night Jacksonville in May.
In the midst of a two-fight rise, New Zealand upstart, Young added Austin Arnett to his win column at UFC 234 in February of last year in Melbourne. News of the eye-catching featherweight matching was initially penned by Cageside Press reporter, Shawn Bitter.
Making his Octagon bow at UFC Fight Night Raleigh in January of this year – Landwehr dropped his first professional defeat in seven outings, losing via a stunning knee in the clinch from Herbert Burns – the younger brother of top welterweight contender, Gilbert.
Before his transition to the Octagon – the Clarksville based finisher had managed victories over Viktor Kolesnik (x2), Andrey Lezhnev, Khamzat Dalgiev, and Mikhail Korobkov under the M1-Global banner.
Back in November of 2017 – in what now appears to be a baptism of fire, Young made his premier UFC walk, taking on current division gold holder, Alexander ‘The Great’ Volkanovksi. Young would go on to drop a unanimous decision at the Sydney event. Himself returning to the winner’s enclosure, Young scored a victory over Rolando Dy with a late second knockout via strikes at UFC Fight Night Kallang.
From thirteen professional successes – the 27-year-old City Kickboxing trainee has secured six stoppages via strikes, and three triumphs with submission offence.
