New Jersey Martial Arts Hall of Fame to honor Murat Keshtov with the “Martial Arts Trainer” award
New Jersey: The New Jersey Martial Arts Hall of Fame is extremely proud of its seventh class of inductees to the New Jersey Martial Arts Hall of Fame. This class will be honored at the seventh dinner gala to be held at The Event Center in iPlay America in Freehold, NJ on December 6, 2019.
On December 6th, Murat Keshtov will be inducted as Martial Arts Trainer
I have been training martial arts since I was seven years old. Wrestled all throughout high school In Russia. I was North Caucasus Champion in freestyle wrestling. In the late 80s I started actively competing in Tae Kwon Do and Karate Kickboxing events , I was selected as a Russian National Team member in 1989. I also opened school and had competition team when I was 19 years old, later on from that team many of my students became national champions in Russia . I traveled to the USA with the Russian national team in ‘93 and ‘94 for competitions. In 1995 I traveled to the States with the Judo team, and I decided to stay in the USA. I competed in several grappling tournaments, and am a multiple time expert divisions champion. I started teaching martial arts in 1997 in New Jersey. In 2007 founded Martial Arts School and Fight Team K Dojo in NJ.
Some of the first products of Kdojo Fight Team were Khabib Nurmagomedov (current UFC LW Champion), Adlan Amagov (undefeated UFC Fighter), Alexey Oleinik (Rank in Top Ten UFC Heavyweight), Rustam Chsiev (ADCC Medalist), Brigitte Narcise (Multiple time ranked female grappler), Khusein Khaliev (ACB/ACA Current World Champion), Bilyal Makhov (UFC Fighter and Olympic Medalist), Alexander Keshtov (ROC and CFFC Champion), Andrew Sánchez (UFC Fighter and TUF 23 Winner) and along with many others. Currently I run K Dojo Warrior Tribe with my business partner Brigitte Narcise. Still reside in New Jersey with my three beautiful daughters.
