OKTAGON Štvanice Saturday Weigh-In Results: Sanikidze vs. Keita title fight official

The event of the summer reaches its climax tonight, Saturday, July 29, with the second loaded fight card in as many days. Prague’s beautiful island, Štvanice, will host an outdoor OKTAGON MMA card for the final time and an exhilarating evening is promised once again. All fighters have officially weighed in ahead of OKTAGON Štvanice Saturday which is headlined by one of the biggest European MMA fight this year.

In the main event, featherweight champion, Mate Sanikidze (10-2), will look to unify the belts when he collides with undefeated interim title holder, Losene Keita (11-0), who can achieve coveted double champion status with a victory. OKTAGON MMA light heavyweight king, Karlos Vémola (34-7), intends on getting back in the win column against the heavy hitter from Argentina, Lucas Alsina (11-4), in a 91kg/201lbs catchweight co-headliner.

Slovak legend, Ivan Buchinger (39-8), aims to pick up his fortieth professional victory and make a successful comeback from injury opposite promotional newcomer, Abou Tounkara (9-4), at lightweight. In another feature bout, there are big implications for the heavyweight division as streaking Bulgarian tank, Lazar Todev (8-5), collides with dangerous finisher, Wallyson Carvalho (13-8).

Elsewhere on the card, there is plenty of UK interest as Team England coach on the upcoming series of OKTAGON Challenge: England vs. Ireland, Akonne Wanliss (6-2), makes his highly anticipated OKTAGON MMA debut against Georgian grappler, Giorgi Gogotchuri (4-2), in a lightweight contest. Top English talent, Callum Mullen (5-1, 1NC), meets fellow prospect, Roman Paulus (9-3), at featherweight and James Lewis (8-4) searches for another stoppage win when he squares off with ‘C-4’, Vladislav Kanchev (12-7-2), in a welterweight bout.

Unfortunately, Samuel Bark withdrew from the card due to health complications but he has been replaced by Michal Jančuška (8-3), who now faces Eduard Kexel (8-1) at a catchweight of 67kg/148lbs.

OKTAGON Štvanice Saturday will be broadcast live on OKTAGON.TV internationally as well as worldwide on the global platform, DAZN, in all markets except from DACH and CZ/SK. The action begins at 5.30pm GMT/6.30pm CET/12.30pm ET/9.30am CT.
