Paulie Malignaggi Exclusive ahead of Conor McGregor’s Roadhouse: “McGregor ‘pretending to be a tough guy’ suits him because he’s a ‘punching bag’ in the cage”

We are only a couple of days from ‘’The Notorious’’ Conor McGregor’s acting debut as he stars alongside Jake Gyllenhall in ‘Road House’ set to premiere on Amazon Prime this Friday.

Former World Champion Paulie Malignaggi refuelled his long rivalry with the former two weight UFC World champion, by branding him a ‘’pretend tough guy’’ ahead of his movie premiere.

He also shows concerns for Mike Tyson as he and Jake Paul have agreed to a controversial exhibition bout on July 20th.

Speaking to Lord Ping he said:

  • Conor McGregor ‘pretending to be a tough guy’ suits him
  • I question Mike Tyson’s motivation. Is his recent footage real?

Conor McGregor ‘pretending to be a tough guy’ suits him

“Why try to be a tough guy in the cage when you can pretend to be a tough guy in the movies? People fall for it, people think that Brad Pitt can fight, they think actors can fight, so McGregor should carry on being the pretend tough guy. Why risk doing it for real and being a punching bag? He can sell himself better in the acting world than the fighting world.”

“Why would he put himself in a situation where he can get knocked out? I feel like he’s playing games with Michael Chandler, holding the payday over his head. He’s a very insecure person, so it doesn’t surprise me what he’s trying to do to Chandler.

“As a man and as a fighter there should be a commitment to fighting Chandler or not. The man has no balls. He’s such an insecure prick, it’s wild to see. I don’t think the Chandler fight happens. Inside he knows he’s a punching bag at this point and he’s not going to risk getting hurt again.”

I question Mike Tyson’s motivation. Is his recent footage real?

“I got to say man, I’m not sure where Tyson is with his motivation. I don’t know how recent the videos are because I spoke to some people who were with Tyson not that long ago and he didn’t look the most active, I don’t know if the video reel is recent or just created to create headlines.

“I don’t know if it’s a recent video of him hitting the pads to tell you the truth because I saw some people not long ago, in the last couple of months, and he was very chilled out. He was not discussing anything physical.”
