NEW YORK — The Professional Fighters League (PFL), the fastest growing and most innovative sports league, today announced that it has appointed Health Rover as its official COVID-19 testing partner. Health Rover is a New York-based healthcare company specializing in on-site, rapid, point-of-care lab testing.
As the PFL regular season kicks off on April 23 inside its Atlantic City, NJ bubble environment, the league will work with Health Rover to provide PFL fighters and personnel with COVID-19 testing ensuring proper protocols and procedures are followed. Health Rover makes use of both Rapid Antigen and Rapid RT-PCR testing technologies for screenings.
“Health Rover’s core belief from inception is that point-of-care, rapid testing will improve and help curb the spread of the COVID-19 virus,” said Health Rover Co-Founder, Brian Murphy. “Our point-of-care model is a great fit for the PFL. Rapid test results will ensure that all the athletes and their corners can continue their training regimens safely. We’re honored to be the official testing partner of the PFL and it has been a pleasure to work hand in hand with the PFL team to make this happen.”
“The health and safety of our fighters and personnel is of the utmost importance,” said PFL CEO, Peter Murray. “Our partners at Health Rover will provide testing within the PFL bubble to ensure all necessary protocols are adhered to.”
The 2021 PFL Season will begin April 23 on ESPN 2, ESPN Deportes and ESPN+ in primetime. The
remaining Regular Season events will take place on April 29, May 6, June 10, June 17, and June 25.
