Star-Studded Night Celebrates Women Boxers at “Hit Like A Girl, Fight Like A Champion” presented by Brinx.TV

Last night, we experienced an electrifying historic event that showcased women’s boxing like never before. The highlight was the Unified Super Featherweight Championship match between champion Alycia Baumgardner and challenger Delfine Persoon. Legendary figures, including Laila Ali and Dez Bryant, were in attendance, along with sports icons like Josh NormanCurtis Conway, and Patrick Peterson, former WBA Middleweight Champion Daniel Jacobs  and former WBA Light Middleweight Champion and current Bare Knuckle Fighting Champion Austin Trout all there to witness history.

This landmark occasion marked the first-ever all-female fight card sanctioned by the WBC, presented by Brinx.TV “Hit Like a Girl, Fight Like a Champion,” and sponsored by NinjaPirateMisfits.com in association with Global Combat Collective, the event was hosted by sports broadcasting icon Sage Steele.

Global Combat Collective is dedicated to uplifting women’s sports, and last night was a testament to that mission alongside distribution partner Brinks.TV. The event was not only a showcase of talent but also a powerful statement for gender equity in athletics.

The event kicked off with a powerful rendition of the National Anthem by rock and roll Hall of Famer Ted Nugent, setting an energetic tone for the night. With eight undercard bouts—including the WBC International Super Bantamweight Title, where Rosalinda Rodriguez defeated Amy Naert in a split decision—the event showcased a mix of talent, including the professional debut of US Marine Stephanie Simon.

For the main event, fans were on the edge of their seats as Baumgardner faced off against Persoon in a highly anticipated unified championship bout. In a dramatic turn of events, the match ended in a no-contest due to an accidental clash of heads, allowing Baumgardner to retain her unified titles.

This historic event marked the first all-women’s boxing card sanctioned by the WBC in the USA, representing a significant milestone for female athletes. Additionally Global Combat Collective executed a record-breaking purse bid of $500,000,  the largest in WBC history for a female bout highlighting the growing recognition and investment into women’s sports.

The venue was revolutionary, featuring a fully immersive 360-degree environment with the largest LED wall, redefining live sports production. Held at the Lux Stage in Atlanta, this state-of-the-art facility offered an unparalleled viewing experience for all attendees.

BrinxTV’s global broadcast allowed fans worldwide to witness this momentous occasion across nearly every major platform, including but not limited to Fubo Sports, Amazon Prime, Tubi, Roku, and Hulu.

Additional hosting duties were shared by six-time Emmy Award winner John Brenkus, New York Times best-selling author and founder/CEO of Brinks.TVKamryn Blackwood, a nationally-known pickleball player and female broadcasting powerhouse; and snowboarding legend Jack Mitrani. Back of house interviews were conducted by Bare Knuckle Fighting star Chad “Big Face” Burbank

The crowd also featured musician Kash Doll, comedian Funny Man Gaitlin, BKFC Champion Britain Hart, fashion icon Timeekah Murphy, Morgan Creek President David Robinson, rapper Big Boss Vette, and influencer Curly Hair Bobby.
