The end-of-year UFC Vegas 66 card has received further bolstering ahead of their December 17. landing at the UFC Apex facility, with a lightweight matchup between division staples, Bobby Green, and Drew Dober set for the main card showing.

Sidelined since February of this year amid a USADA (United States Anti-Doping Agency) suspension, San Bernardino veteran, Green, most recently headlined UFC Vegas 49 against recently minted undisputed lightweight titleholder, Islam Makhachev, suffering a first round ground strikes stoppage defeat.

As for Dober, the lightweight division staple is riding a two-fight winning run into his end-of-year Octagon outing against Bobby Green, most recently stopping Rafael Alves with a brutal body shot TKO win back in July at UFC 277. The victory earned Dober a Performance of the Night bonus. MMA Junkie reports, Nolan King and Farah Hannoun first reported the pairing of Green and Dober.

Seeing an impressive two-fight winning run halted in his short-notice main event slot against Makhachev earlier this year, Green had enjoyed a pair of victories over both Nasrat Haqparast, and Al Iaquinta – stopping the latter in a knockout triumph.

Prior to his win over the aforenoted, Alves earlier this summer, Dober managed to hand exciting lightweight division prospect, Terrance McKinney his first promotional loss in the form of a first round ground strikes win after a competitive back-and-forth clash.

UFC Vegas 66 takes place on December 17. from the UFC Apex facility, with a middleweight division fight between one-time title challenger, Jared Cannonier, and Sean Strickland set to take main event honors.
