Report: Frans Mlambo vs. Cory Tait booked for Bellator Milan on September 26th

A bantamweight matching of IMMAF Tournament Championship victor, Frans ‘The Black Mamba’ Mlambo and experienced Cage Warriors veteran, Cory ‘Capcom’ Tait has been added to Bellator Milan on September 26th. from the Allianz Cloud Arena in Milan, Italy.

2-1 in under Bellator’s scrutiny, Straight Blast Gym mainstay, Mlambo dropped a high-profile knockout defeat against American Top Team staple, Ricky Bandejas at Bellator Dublin in February – in a rallying performance from the latter.

Making his first appearance under the Scott Coker’s led promotion banner, Tait holds a 10-5 professional record, adding to his win column with a second-round triangle win over Ayton De Paepe at Cage Warriors 111 last November.

Snapping a three-fight winning streak, talented all-rounder, Mlambo made a successful transition from Brave Combat Federation back in 2019 – scoring two consecutive wins with Bellator. The 29-year-old took a career highlight submission victory over former Cage Warriors flyweight best, Nathan Greyson in his first promotional appearance. In a second win, Mlambo took a unanimous judging victory over Dominique Wooding at Bellator 227 in Dublin in September of last year.

A former Cage Warriors, Cage Rage, Titan FC, and UCMMA mainstay, Tait offers an experienced challenger for the returning Mlambo. As well-rounded as his opponent, Tait has picked up ten professional victories, finishing each and every one with five knockouts and a further five submission successes. Tait competed for the vacant Cage Warriors 135-pound crown in 2014, dropping a submission loss to Toni Taura.
