Report – Guram Kutateladze vs. Damir Ismagulov added to UFC on ESPN+ 66 on June 18.

A notable lightweight showdown between division prospects, the returning, Guram Kutateladze, and Damir Ismagulov has been booked for a UFC Fight Night 208 event on June 18. – with a location or venue for the event yet to be determined by the organization.

Georgian lightweight contender, Kutateladze made his UFC debut on ‘Fight Island’ back in October of 2020, battling with former KSW two-weight champion, Mateusz Gamrot – handing the now-streaking Pole a close split decision defeat. 

Former M-1 Global lightweight kingpin, Ismagulov boasts a 20-1 professional record – most recently improving to 4-0 in the UFC with a unanimous decision win over Brazilian lightweight, Rafael Alves back in May at UFC Vegas 27. MMA Fighting reporter, Mike Heck was first to report the pairing of Kutateladze and Ismagulov.

11-2 as a professional, Kutateladze had since been booked to fight against now promotional-veteran, Don Madge since his victory against Gamrot, however, the bout, which had been scheduled twice, ultimately failed to come to fruition. 

A two-fight Brave CF veteran, Kutateladze landed a pair of wins against Erick da Silva, and Felipe Silva.

Ismagulov, a native of Orenburg, landed in the UFC back in December 2018 with a unanimous decision Alex Gorgees, before landing a trio of subsequent unanimous decision wins over contenders, Joel Alvarez, and Thiago Moises – to go with his triumph over Alves. Ismagulov has landed 10 career finishes – nine knockout wins and a single submission success. 

At the time of publication, an official main event for the UFC Fight Night 208 card on June 18. has yet to be determined.
