Rising Cork-born prospect, Patrick ‘The Leech’ Lehane is set for his sixth outing under the Campbell McLaren-led, Combate Global banner on April 29. – drawing Venezuela native, Gabriel Morales in a featherweight showdown.
Lehane, 4-1 as a professional, enjoyed a stellar run last year under the promotion’s banner – making his promotional bow in August in a one-night tournament – clinching spoils following wins over both Sebas Santana Guedes, and Maxime Giacalone.
The following month, the SBG Cork City mainstay managed another impressive victory – this time knocking back Isaac Ruelas with a split decision win. In November, Lehane improved to 4-0 as a professional – besting Hugo Flores with a unanimous judging win, before the undefeated Cristian Perez handed Lehane his first professional loss, courtesy of a unanimous decision loss. 3-2 as a professional, Venezuelan puncher, Morales has competed under the scrutiny of Lux Fight League, Crixus MMA, Aruba, and The One Latin America Championship ahead of his promotional bow under the Combate Global banner.
Landing a pair of knockout wins over both Jair Perez, and Alfredo Castillo, Morales most recent win came opposite Carlos Ochoa back in May of last year.
Lehane returns to action as part of a two-man Irish contingency under the promotion’s banner, alongside fellow Straight Blast Gym mainstay, Frans Mlambo – who clinched the promotion’s Copa Combate tournament and $100,000 check with a trio of one-night wins over Jose Zarauz, Cristian Barraza, and Kevin Cordero.
