Report – Rafael dos Anjos vs. Bryan Barberena slated for UFC Orlando on December 3.

A welterweight division clash between former interim division title challenger, and former undisputed UFC lightweight champion, Rafael dos Anjos, and the streaking, Bryan Barberena, is slated to feature at UFC Orlando on December 3. from the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida.Â
dos Anjos, the current #8 ranked lightweight contender, most recently headlined UFC Vegas 58 back in July, suffering an early fifth round knockout loss to the streaking striker, Rafael Fiziev.
As for Barberena, the Californian turned in his second consecutive Fight of the Night outing at UFC 276 back in July also, defeating former undisputed welterweight champion, Robbie Lawler with a third round knockout. Combate reporter, Raphael Marinho was first to report dos Anjos’ return to welterweight against Barberena.Â
Seeing his run of two consecutive wins halted against the aforenoted, Fiziev earlier this summer, dos Anjos had turned in back-to-back victories over the now-retired, Paul Felder, and then compatriot, Renato Moicano, the most recent of which on short notice at UFC 272 back in March.
A former undisputed lightweight champion, dos Anjos clinched the title back in 2015 with a unanimous decision performance against Anthony Pettis. In the sole successful title defense of dos Anjos’ reign, the Brazilian stopped Donald Cerrone in a rematch in December of that year.
18-8 as a professional, prior to his win against Lawler, 33-year-old, Barberena defeated Matt Brown with a split decision win, following a previous unanimous judging success against Darian Weeks.
In other notable promotional victories, Barberena bested the likes of Sage Northcutt, Warlley Alves, and Jake Ellenberger.
