A welterweight matchup between former division champion, Robbie Lawler, and fellow division staple, Bryan Barberena has been added to UFC 276 on July 2. – from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Snapping a run of four straight losses under the banner of the UFC back in September in a high-profile UFC 266 main card rematch against Nick Diaz, Lawler managed to successfully avenge a 2004 knockout loss to the Stockton favorite with a third round knockout win of his own.
For Barberena, the Californian featured just last month on the main card of UFC Fight Night Columbus – defeating common opponent, Ohio hometown favorite, Matt Brown with a close, split decision win, Barberena confirmed his matchup against Lawler on his official Instagram account.

A former undisputed welterweight champion, Lawler managed to also avenge a decision loss to Johny Hendricks in 2014, landing a split decision victory – before then landing a pair of back-to-back title defense classics against both Rory MacDonald, and Carlos Condit.
Making his Octagon bow back in December 2014, Barberena, who boasts an 17-8 professional record – has notably bested both Jake and Joe Ellenberger, as well as Sage Northcutt, and Warlley Alves.
