There are several rising stars in the world of mixed martial arts. “The Ass-Kicking Machine” Jason Jackson (11-4) fits that bill well. Jackson has captured gold for both Titan FC and LFA respectively. The Jamaica native fought four times in 2019 winning three of the four with the lone loss coming via an iffy split decision to fellow prospect Ed Ruth (7-1) in his return to the Bellator MMA cage at Bellator 231 back in October.
Fast forward to December and “The Ass-Kicking Machine” took on Kiichi Kunimoto (20-9-2) at Bellator 236 on just nine days’ notice, easily dispatching of the veteran Japanese fighter by way of unanimous decision.
By the eye test, Jackson passes with flying colors with his long-range and unorthodox style. The Welterweight division within Bellator has a stacked line up for the Jamaican to get a title shot with the likes of Michael “Venom” Page, Paul Daley, Lorenz Larkin, and Andrey Koreshkov standing in his way.
The way 2020 will go for Jackson will come down to matchups. Stylistically he matches up well with the rest of the Welterweight division. Will Scott Coker push Jackson in 2020? That remains to be seen.
BOLD Prediction- Look for “The Ass-Kicking Machine” to fight at least three times under the Bellator banner in 2020 and end up with the fourth fight of the year to be for the Welterweight title.
