MAIN CARD

Michel Pereira used the first round to try out spinning back kicks and flips on Yang Hae-Jun to the delight of the crowd. In the second round, Yang immediately went for the take down to put the game in his favor. In the third, Pereira clinched with Yang and threw knees to his liver and punches to his head to get the devastating referee stoppage.

Arai Mika and Lee Ye-Ji engaged in a grappling battle for control of the clinch, throws, and submission attempts. Arai was able to completely control the direction of the fight, keep Lee on her back and constantly defending, so the Unanimous Decision was very well deserved.

Choi Won-Jun and Jeon Uh-Jin were cautious throughout their entire fight, but when they engaged they both landed. Choi’s striking did more damage than Jeon’s take downs, and so he was awarded the Unanimous Decision.

Fireman fighter Shin Dong-Guk and Hayashi Tamotsu were on their way to deliver the Fight of the Night, when two low blows from Shin stopped the match just past the middle mark of the first round. The match went to the score cards, and Shin’s yellow card deductions meant that the Unanimous Decision went to Hayashi.

Lee Jong-Hwan delivered punches, take downs, and control on the ground to take Kim Dae-Sung all the way to the final bell. Kim was able to avoid the submission attempts and got a nice hip throw, but Lee’s dominance earned him a clear decision win on the score cards.

YOUNG GUNS 39

Han Yi-Moon knocked down Yoo Jae-Nam very quickly in the opening round, but Yoo recovered and was able to work on a guillotine and transition to mount. Han weathered the attack, found Yoo’s foot, and got a painful submission to a toe hold.

Park Su-Wan and Kwok Jong-Hyun threw everything they had at each other. Kwok used his powerful wrestling against the cage, and Park showed off good defense and came back with shots that landed. After the exciting match, the split decision was awarded to Park Su-Won.

Baasankhuu Damlanpurev and Ko Dong-Hyeok delivered a back and forth match with equal measures of grappling, inside the clinch striking, kicks and throws. After a grinding two rounds, two judges scored the bout for Damlanpurev, another a draw, so the Mongolian walked away with the win.

Bakhtiiar Toichubaev and Jung Sang-Min fought very cautiously in their opening round. In the second round, Toichubaev completely swung the match in his favor with a rapid takedown, domination of Jung against the cage with punch after punch, earning him the unanimous decision on the score cards.

Baik Seung-Min and Kwon Do-Hyeong came out of their corners respectful and cautious, with Baik landing his head kicks and Kwon trying for the takedowns and clinch. Kwon’s strategy was his undoing; Baik was able to capitalize on it in the second round and land knees in the clinch for the TKO.

Ahn Tae-Yong survived a take down from Park Jae-Seong and set up the triangle from the bottom to get a tap out in the first round.

Jin Ek-Tae and Lee Han-Yong produced a great opening bout, and Lee looked like he was going to be the sure winner due to amazing output. Jin caught him with a left hook at the end of round 1 for a surprise TKO.
