ROAD FC 051 XX will be the final event of 2018, and the next in the series of all-female fight cards. Five fights will feature Korea’s top talent and hot prospects, headlined by the ROAD FC Atomweight Champion Ham Seo-Hee’s third title defense against Korea’s number one challenger, Park Jeong-Eun.

ROAD FC Atomweight Championship

ROAD FC Atomweight Champion Ham Seo-Hee (19-8, Busan Team MAD) is the inaugural belt holder who is making her third defense. She is the number one female atomweight in the world, and she was the first Korean female in the UFC, fighting a division above her weight. Ham won the title at ROAD FC 039 in 2017 with a TKO over then DEEP Jewels Atomweight Champion Mina Kurobe, and knocked out world number two and now Invicta Atomweight Champion Jinh Yu Frey at ROAD FC 045 by KO. Ham fractured her arm in that fight and is now returning after surgery and full rehabilitation.

Challenger Park Jeong-Eun (4-4-1, Team Strong Wolf) is Korea’s newest break out talent and the first Korean to challenge Ham Seo-Hee for the Atomweight title. Before her MMA career, Park was a Korean National Kickboxing Champion in 2013-14 with a record of 9-1. Park’s ongoing sambo competition has contributed to her very strong skill set. She debuted in MMA against one of the world’s most well known fighters Emi Fujino, and she’s fought former DEEP Women’s Lightweight Champion Hisae Watanabe, former DEEP Jewels Atomweight Champion Mina Kurobe, and current DEEP Jewels Atomweight Champion Tomo Maesawa. Park has never been finished.

This title challenge for Korea’s prodigy Park Jeong-Eun against world number one ROAD FC Atomweight Champion Ham Seo-Hee will be an historic bout for Korean women’s MMA!

ROAD FC 051 XX

The co-main event atomweight bout will be former “High School Fighter” Lee Ye-Ji (3-4, Team J) versus ‘Fearless Guys’ TV show star Lee Su-Yeon (debut, Team Apgujeong). Both women have been followed closely in their fledgeling careers. Ye-Ji is looking to come back after a two-fight losing streak after she finished high school, and Su-Yeon has been a winning BJJ competitor who wants to take her TV challenge into a pro MMA career.

In a third atomweight bout, Shim Yu-Ri (4-2, Team Genius) meets Shi Ming (3-3, China Catch Wrestling Team) in what seems to be a kickboxer versus grappler match, but these well-rounded women will surprise. Shim has been a successful record in sanda, Taekwondo, and Muay Thai from 2014-16. Shi Ming has a kickboxing record of 4-0. Both women have shown good striking and grappling skills in their MMA bouts.

In a -60kg Catchweight bout, Kim Young-Ji (1-3, Team J) will face Kim Hae-Jin (0-1-1, Ssabi MMA). Young-Ji has faced an uphill battle in her young MMA career with tough losses to Reina and Rin Nakai, and a good win at Openweight against Yoshiko. Hae-In has a base in Taekwondo, a good start in the ROAD FC Central amateur league, and showed great potential in a split decision loss to Japanese boxing champion Raika. This match will show the extreme toughness of Korea’s female fighters.

The opening bout on the main card will be atomweights Hong Yun-Ha (2-4, Songtan MMA Multi Gym) versus Baek Hyeon-Ju (0-3, Gwangju Seungri Gym). Hong is a very exciting fighter with a BJJ base who constantly goes forward, win or lose. Baek is a kickboxer who has been working on upping her ground game. This is a pure grappler versus striker match, with a clear winner coming from who gets their way first.
