The Russian city of Khanty-Mansiysk is an alpine skiing centre of global renown, well experienced in hosting major sporting events. Biathlon World Cup competitions are held there annually, while the city is home to the HC Yugra of the Continental Hockey League and the Ugra Chess Academy, which has hosted the 2010 Chess Olympiad and numerous World Cups.

The Russian MMA Union Men’s International MMA Cup tournament will be broadcast live internationally on IMMAF TV and other platforms.

Russian MMA Union Chairman, Fedor Emelianenko, said:

“The tournament is held at a high level as an international competition in Ugra, and is not in its first year. I have no doubt that the tournament in 2019 under its new (IMMAF – WMMAA) standards will attract a greater number of foreign participants, which will increase this event’s significance in the international MMA arena.”

Amateurs interested in competing should contact their IMMAF – WMMAA affiliated National MMA federation for further information about how to apply
