Play-by-play voice Laura Sanko and analyst Jimmy Smith return to call the Phoenix Series 2 action, streaming live and exclusively on UFC FIGHT PASS at 7 p.m. CT on Friday, Sept. 6.

Two competitors from the original field of eight, Cheri Muraski and Marilia Santos, have been forced to withdraw, leaving open tournament slots to be filled by Shanna “The Shanimal” Young (6-2) and Victoria “Fury” Leonardo (6-1).

Young turns herself around quickly after competing on Dana White’s Contender Series earlier this month. Leonardo also competed in August, earning “Fight of the Night” honors in a winning effort against Stephanie Geltmacher at Invicta FC 36.

The updated flyweight field competing at Phoenix Series 2 includes:

  • DeAnna Bennett (10-5-1) – UFC veteran and former Invicta FC title challenger
  • Milana Dudieva (12-8) – Three-fight UFC veteran
  • Maiju Suotama (8-4) – Strikeforce Challengers veteran
  • Daiana Torquato (9-3) – Brazilian prospect on a seven-fight winning streak
  • Shanna Young (6-2) – Dana White’s Contender Series veteran
  • Liz Tracy (5-3) – Three-fight Invicta FC veteran
  • Victoria Leonardo (6-1) – Invicta FC and Bellator MMA veteran
  • Miranda Maverick (5-2) – Twenty-two-year-old prospect with six Invicta FC fights

Phoenix Series 2 follows the same structure as the prior tournament, with four quarterfinal bouts and two semifinal bouts each having a maximum duration of one five-minute round. The tournament’s final bout will be contested over three five-minute rounds.

Quarterfinal match-ups will be determined by random selection, with Invicta FC President Shannon Knapp drawing names during ceremonial weigh-ins for Phoenix Series 2 on Thursday, Sept. 5.

Two tournament reserve bouts have also been added to the card, as Chantel “Killa” Coates (1-1), owner of the fastest knockout in promotional history, meets California-based debutant Flore “Aito Hine” Hani (1-1) and the always game Kay Hansen (4-3) makes her seventh Invicta appearance against an opponent to be announced.
