Solo Sikoa Is WWE’s Next Breakout Star; Explained

Solo Sikoa has risen to the ranks of relevance in WWE in such a short time since making his main-roster debut at last year’s Clash at the Castles PPV when he cost Drew McIntyre a chance to win the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship from reigning champion Roman Reigns. Solo Sikora has positioned himself as a loyal enforcer of Roman Reigns’s Bloodline faction, as he’s helped Roman Reigns win many of his most recent title defenses, including his win over Cody Rhodes at this year’s main event of WrestleMania 39.

Furthermore, Solo Sikoa’s street-fighting in-ring style gives him an intimidating presence, as he’s someone like him is to be taken seriously. And because of this, it’s only a matter of time before Solo Sikoa breaks out as a singles star. With him recently getting a dominant win over John Cena at this year’s Crown Jewel 2023 PPV, which was John Cena’s last match up to date, Solo Sikoa looks to be groomed for an upcoming main event push once his association with The Bloodline comes to an end.

Going back to his street-fighting style in the ring, one of the most appealing aspects about Solo Sikoa as an in-ring performer is that he comes off as a legitimate threat, especially as there are similarities between him and the late Umaga. Considering he also has the physique to fill the role of a savage-type heel, it’s only natural for Solo Sikoa to get a future singles push in that light.

It’s also worth noting that with Solo Sikoa’s young age of 30, as he’s among the youngest main-event superstars on the main roster, someone like him is going to come in handy for WWE’s next generation of main-event talent when superstars like Roman Reigns, Drew McIntyre, and even Cody Rhodes starts to wind down their respective careers in the next few years.
