Tahar Hadbi confident in victory over Al-Selawe ‘wherever the fight goes’

Tahar Hadbi is on the verge of fighting for Brave Combat Federation’s Welterweight title. But before he can make plans to face champion Carlston Harris, “Fast Hands” must beat Jarrah Al-Selawe in the co-main event of Brave 12: KHK Legacy, set for May 11th, in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Al-Selawe was victorious at Brave 10 when he submitted David Bear, Hadbi’s personal friend and teammate, at the end of the third round in a back and forth matchup. And he’s making sure the same thing won’t happen to him on Brave 12.

“I see Al-Selawe as a complete fighter, able to do damage standing up and on the ground. With that being said, I feel my boxing style is very unique and I’ve been training with the best on the ground and standing up so I’m confident in victory wherever the fight takes place” says Hadbi.

After settling a long rivalry with Mohammad Fakhreddine in devastating fashion, the OBYFight product admitted a title shot was on his mind. However, he sees a matchup against “The Jordanian Lion” as even more appealing.

“To me, Al-Selawe is the champion. He’s the only one with four Brave wins, which is twice as many as the champion Carlston Harris, who’s been injured for a while. I feel like this is the real title fight”, guarantees Hadbi, who recently signed a new deal with Brave Combat Federation.

“Brave is a top promotion, and to be honest I feel very good here. Signing a new deal was a no-brainer”.

Brave 12: KHK Legacy marks the promotion’s first incursion into Southeast Asia. Indonesia will become the eighth country to host a Brave Combat Federation show, after trips to Bahrain, Brazil, United Arab Emirates, India, Kazakhstan, Mexico, and Jordan.
