Taura MMA is pleased to welcome middleweight Eric Spicely (12-5) to the roster. He will make his promotional debut at Taura 12 on November 22, in Atlantic City (USA), against a opponent to be announced soon.
Spicely stood out at Season 23 of ‘The Ultimate Fighter’, winning two of his three bouts during the TV show. Since then, he defeated the likes of Thiago ‘Marreta’ Santos, Caio ‘Hellboy’ Magalhães – also a Taura fighter now – and Alessio Di Chirico.
‘Zebrinha’ most recently competed in June 2019, when he lost a unanimous decision to Deron Winn. The loss snapped a two-fight winning streak. The 33-year-old was scheduled to face Markus Perez this month at UFC Fight Night: Brunson vs. Shahbazyan, but he had issues in his weight cut.
Eric will join a roster that already has great fighters such as Renan Barão, Antônio ‘Bigfoot’ Silva, Gleison Tibau, Vitor Miranda, Godofredo Pepey, Sergio Moraes, Rousimar ‘Toquinho’ Palhares, Fábio Maldonado, Viscardi Andrade, William ‘Patolino’ Macário, Guto Inocente, Efrain Escudero, Bobby Moffett, Juliana ‘Ju Thai’ Lima, Kalindra Faria, Daniel Sarafian and Paulo Thiago.
