The expansion plans of Taura MMA have proved to be increasingly ambitious. After closing with names like William ‘Patolino’, Rousimar ‘Toquinho’ and ‘Big Foot’ Silva, the organization announces the arrival of 3 more big names: Efrain Escudero, Bruno ‘Korea’ and José Maria ‘No Chance’ are now part of Taura’s squad.
TUF 9 champion Efrain Escudero arrived in the UFC in 2008, an event in which he stayed for 2 years. Nicknamed ‘Hecho en Mexico’, the athlete arrives at the event representing a large sum of Latin MMA fans, who can now see his idol in a new home. The 34-year-old fighter has no less than 31 wins in almost 50 professional fights. With bold plans for the organization, the CEO of Taura MMA, Djônatan Leão, spoke about the expectation for new hires within the event:
– We have a very interesting schedule, we don’t want them to have just one fight at Taura. The event is being renewed with the cast, and with that we are bringing some stars. It will be really cool to have Efrain Escudero, representing the Latin audience. We will have Bruno Korea, a very experienced guy. The expectation is great about these athletes, I believe they will have a great performance at Taura, both in 2020 and in 2021 – declared Djônatan.
At 38, Jose Maria ‘No Chance’ has a long track record in MMA. With 39 career triumphs, the athlete maintained one of the greatest MMA unbeateness between the years 2008 and 2013, when he was signed by Ultimate. Adding ups and downs since then, the athlete who had been on his journey in Russia now hopes to meet again at Taura. Bruno ‘Korea’ is a younger athlete. At 29, the fighter was one of the participants in the extinct TUF Brasil, where he ended up defeated in the semifinals of the fourth edition of the program. With 11 wins and only 3 losses in his career, the fighter emerges as an athlete with great potential for the organization.
