The Professional Fighters League (PFL) 7 takes place today Thursday August 30, 2018 at Ocean Resort Casino in Atlantic City, N.J. The main card will air live on NBCSN while the prelims on Facebook Live.
The Professional Fighters League (PFL) presents MMA for the first time in the sport format where individuals compete in a regular season, playoffs, and championship. Co-founded by Donn Davis, Russ Ramsey, and Mark Leschly, the Professional Fighters League is backed by an ownership group of sports, media, and business titans.

MAIN CAR
Smealinho Rama defeated Jamie Abdallah by TKO (doctor stoppage) at 5:00 of the second round. With the stoppage win Rama earned five points and clinched the 7th seed in the light heavyweight division of the 2018 PFL Playoff. With the loss Abdallah was eliminated from playoff contention.
Bozigit Ataev defeated Sean O’Connell by TKO (strikes) at 3:30 of the first round. The stoppage win earned Ataev six points and clinched a spot in the light heavyweight division of the 2018 PFL Playoffs. Sean O’Connell earned five points in his first fight of the regular season and has locked up his position in the post-season.
Ataev:
“I want to thank my coaches Gusein Magomaiev, Zainalbek Zainalbekov, Arslan Omarov and Magomed Gajiev, my sparing partner Muslim Salihov, American Top Team Mike Rod, my brother Ali Kaytukov and my PFL camp brothers. See you all soon. Bozik is back.”
Alexandre Bezerra defeated Magomed Idrisov by knockout (flying knee, punches) at 3:24 of the first round. With the stoppage win Bezerra earned six points and clinched the 6th seed in the featherweight division of the 2018 PFL Playoffs. Idrisov is eliminated from playoff contention.
Bezerra:
“I’m coming for this big check and the best thing is, I get to take it from Andre Harrison!”
Handesson Ferreira defeated Paul Bradley by TKO (strikes) at 0:20 of the first round. With the decision stoppage Ferreira earned six points and clinched the 5th seed at welterweight in the 2018 PFL Playoffs. Paul Bradley and Abubakar Nurmagomedov are both eliminated from playoff contention.
Ferreira:
“This happened exactly as I visualized it. All I needed was one fight, one round, one minute. I’m not here for Ray Cooper, I’m here for $1 million dollars.”
Caio Alencar defeated Mike Kyle by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27 and 29-28) after three rounds. With the win Alencar earned three points in the heavyweight division. Alencar finishes in 9th place, just behind Josh Copeland who clinches the 8th and final slot in the 2018 PFL Playoffs by ___ tiebreaker.
Alencar:
“This was the craziest fight of my life, I had so many submission opportunities. This was my fight. Felt great to get back to the winning bracket.”
PRELIMINARY CARD:
Sadibou Sy defeated Caio Magalhaes by knockout (kick and punch) at 2:06 of the first round. The stoppage win earned Sy six points and clinched his spot in the 2018 PFL Playoffs in the middleweight division.
Sy:
“I knew six points would allow me to meet Bruno (Santos) inside the cage again. That’s what I went for, same opponent, same city only this time we’re getting a different outcome.”
Emiliano Sordi defeated Jason Butcher by knockout (punches) at 0:16 of the first round. The stoppage win earned Sordi six points and secured his place in the 2018 PFL Playoffs in the light heavyweight division.
Sordi:
“Fastest night of my life! Sixteen seconds was all I needed. Like I said, I don’t come out hear to have the judges rate my performance, I come to knock people out! Just wait for my full camp in October.”
Omar Nurmagomedov defeated Saidyokub Kakharamonov by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27 and 29-28) after three rounds.
Nurmagomedov:
“I love this game, I’m so happy I am involved in this sport. Thank you PFL for the opportunity, this was my first fight in the USA and it felt very unique.”
Ramazan Kuramagomedov defeated Robert Hale by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27 and 30-27) after three rounds.
Kuramagovmedov:
“I have the best team in the world prepring me for this amazing opportunity. I am still very young and with a lot to learn, this is just the beginning.”
Muhammed Dereese defeated Leroy Johnson by knockout (knee) at 2:45 of the first round.
Dereese:
“This is a blessing from above. A couple of months ago I was thinking of hanging the gloves on this whole thing, I was given a sign and Ray called me giving me an opportunity to do what I love. It’s been over 2 years but man, I feel great.”
