Thiago Santos took to Twitter asking for a title shot to fight Dominick Reyes.
I think UFCs 205 div needs a new champ! ( One thats not forever in trouble!)
I think me and Reyes deserve to fight for that belt! @danawhite @Mickmaynard2 @ufc @DomReyes @UFCBrasil @Alexdavismma @espnmma

Thiago Santos took on Light Heavyweight Champ Jon Jones at UFC 239 back in July 2019. During that fight, Santos went the distance with him and lost via split decision. Santos underwent surgery on both knees, after his recovery, he’s been asking for a rematch against Jon Jones. Now with the news that broke on Thursday (3/26/2020) with Jones being arrested, Santos is asking for a title fight against Dominick Reyes as seen on his Twitter account above.
Reyes is coming off a loss against Jon Jones and many analysts including UFC president Dana White thought Reyes won. Santos suggesting that Jones should be stripped of his title, also seen on his Twitter account above. As we remember, Jones was already stripped of the light heavyweight title three times before. Jones failed two drug tests and violated the UFC’s code of conduct policy. Jon Jones did reclaim the title when he stopped Alexander Gustafsson back in December 2018.
Should Jon Jones be stripped from his title and let Thiago Santos and Dominick Reyes fight for the possible vacant UFC Light Heavyweight title? Comment below.
