AMSTERDAM – Tickets for GLORY: COLLISION 2 will go on sale to the general public this week.
The public sale commences 10:00 CEST on Wednesday, July 31 via GloryKickboxing.com.
It is the first time that tickets have been available to the general public, with tickets until now having only been available to fans who registered for last week’s exclusive pre-sale.
That pre-sale received such enormous traffic (an average of one thousand tickets per minute were sold during the opening minutes) that the ticketing platform servers were eventually overloaded and crashed.
GLORY then elected to postpone a public sale of tickets in order allow time for all affected pre-sale transactions to be finalized. That process is now complete and general sale can proceed this week.
“With this being the biggest fight in the history of the sport we had prepared for a surge in buyers but the sheer volume of traffic exceeded every calculations,” said Marshall Zelaznik, GLORY CEO.
“The Pre-Sale would have been a total sellout had the system not crashed. But now we have a final batch of unsold tickets which go on public sale this Wednesday.
“We know how intense the demand is going to be for these tickets, especially in the first minutes of going on sale at 10:00 CEST, and we’ve expanded our system capacity accordingly.”
GLORY: COLLISION 2 takes place Saturday, December 21 and is headlined by a rematch between Rico ‘The King of Kickboxing’ Verhoeven and Badr Hari, three years on from their December 2016 meeting at GLORY: COLLISION.
That fight ended in the second round when Hari was forced to retire with an arm injury, rendering Verhoeven the winner by TKO. Hari will enter the ring on December 21 looking for revenge while Verhoeven aims to repeat the feat of winning by stoppage.
