Tickets on sale for Taura MMA’s first international event
Taura MMA’s inaugural event overseas is already set for October 30, in Kissimmee, FL. The card will be headlined by the light heavyweight title match between former UFC fighters Richardson ‘Rick Monstro’ Moreira and Jonathan Wilson, while former UFC heavyweight title challenger Antônio ‘Bigfoot’ Silva faces Brett Martin in the co-main event at Silver Spurs Arena.
Tickets for Taura MMA 11 start at just $35 (for two seats) and are on sale now at Ticketmaster.com. Additional fights will be announced shortly. 1,800 tickets will be sold, according to the rules of social distance, with the Silver Spurs Arena set to hold 15,000 fans.
Moreira (8-4) is coming off a decision win over Marcos VinÃcius da Silveira at Taura MMA 6. ‘Johnny Bravo’ (7-3), in turn, got back on the winning track in his most recent bout, a armbar submission over Derek Eason at Gladiator Challenge. The win halted a three-fight losing skid for the 33-year-old.
‘Bigfoot’ (19-12) is a crowd-pleaser who will try to replicate at Taura the success he had during his UFC stint, in which he was a heavyweight title challenger. ‘Big Dog’ (9-1), on the other hand, won the Lights Out Championship and the Legacy Fighting Alliance heavyweight belts and wants to reign in yet another organization, but he must defeat ‘Bigfoot’ to keep looking for that to happen. It will be a classic experience vs youth matchup, since the Brazilian slugger is 40-year-old and Martin is only 26.
