Paris, France – The former number one ranked Light Heavyweight fighter in France Malik Merad has joined BRAVE Combat Federation, officials revealed.
The Limoges-born athlete signed a multi-fight deal with the truly global MMA promotion. Holding a professional record of 24 wins and 16 losses, Merad has been one of the most important names in the 93kg division in his home country for the last decade, and patiently awaited his shot at the international level.
Despite putting the whole Light Heavyweight division on notice upon his arrival, “L’Astre”, as he’s also known as, revealed his plans to try a run at the Middleweight division as well in the near future.
Through his social media accounts, Merad celebrated being ”back in action” and thanked BRAVE CF for the opportunity to kickstart his career.
”I am back! I can announce that I am now fighting for the fastest-growing MMA organization in the world, I am now a BRAVE CF fighter! Their Light Heavyweights and Middleweights better watch out, because I am coming for all of them! Thank you to His Highness Shaikh Khaled and to Mohammed Shahid for their trust in my work, I will not let you down! I am back!”.
BRAVE CF officials haven’t confirmed when Malik Merad will make his promotional debut or who are the names being targeted for his first fighter under the truly global promotion banner, but more information is expected to be released in the upcoming weeks.
