Triller Fight Club donates $25,000 to Sarah Alpar’s GoFundMe campaign ahead of UFC 266

Following the $5,000 donation from 3-0 professional boxer and YouTuber, Jake Paul yesterday evening, Triller Fight Club has contributed with a generous $25,000 donation to the GoFundMe campaign set up by UFC flyweight, Sarah ‘Too Sweet’ Alpar in a bid to help fund her fight camp for a September UFC 266 showdown with promotional newcomer, Erin Blanchfield.

Alpar, a product of Dana White’s Contender Series back in August of 2019, made her promotional bow under the UFC’s scrutiny back in September of last year at UFC Vegas 11 — suffering a late third round knockout defeat to Jessica-Rose Clark.

At the beginning of this week, Alpar took to her social media where she pointed followers in the direction of her GoFundMe campaign, in a bid to pay for food, fight camp expenses, and gym fees in a bid to compete opposite Blanchfield at the promotion’s UFC 266 pay-per-view showcase on September 25th.

“What this (Go Fund Me page) does, is it helps me travel, take care of gym fees, to be able to afford food, anything,” Alpar said. “You guys, I’m ready. I’m working, I’m going to school, I’m training, I’m putting in at least 65 hours a week in these things, and I want to make this happen. I want to go so far in the UFC and I cannot do it without you and my ‘Too Sweet Tribe.’“

“If you want to donate even $5, $10, anything is so helpful in order for me to be able to focus on training and to be able to win my next fight,” Alpar explained. “I want to thank you everybody again for the donations that have already been put in. I would like to make a goal of $1,000 by July 1. Let’s make this happen, you guys. I need your help, I need your help.“

Taking to his official Twitter account yesterday evening, the aforenoted, Paul voiced his disgust regarding Alpar’s situation, asking people to imagine a NBA rookie in the same position as her to even compete on the basketball court — before pledging $5,000 to her campaign, as well as offering her support.

“SMH… Imagine a rookie in the NBA had to start a GoFundMe to play.. I let Sarah @TOOSWEET_Alpar know she has my support and contribution. It’s my honor and privilege to help fellow fighters in anyway (sic) I can.“

With the donation from Paul, Alpar comfortably exceeded her goal of $1,000 raised by the start of July, and hot off the heels of the Ohio native’s act of generosity, Triller Fight Club claimed a further $25,000 donation to Alpar’s campaign, under the name of ‘Lisa Ferguson’ was pledged by them.

“We are honoued to help Sarah (Alpar) as she continues her march toward becoming a world champion,” Peter Kahn, Triller Fight Club’s chief officer said in a statement released. “Sarah and many underpaid UFC fighters are starting at a disadvantage when they have to work multiple other jobs while putting their bodies and brains through the most rigorous training one could imagine. It’s sad to see such talented fighters making less than the UFC ring-round card girls.“

As Alpar attempts to prepare for her September matchup with former Invicta FC standout, Blanchfield, she is also working a job on the side as a barista — detailing how she spends upwards of 65 hours per week training, working, and going to school. At the time of publication, Alpar has received a total of $34,907 from the campaign — from a goal of $30,000 which was set to end on December 1st.
