UFC 225 Official Results, Bonuses and Reebok Sponsorship Payout


CHICAGOUFC 225 took place at United Center in Chicago. The main card aired on pay-per-view while the prelims on FS1 and UFC Fight Pass.

The event drew an announced attendance of 18,117 fans and a live gate of $2.55 million. UFC officials announced the numbers after the event.

Robert Whittaker went home with $100,000 and Charles Oliveira and Curtis Blaydes each earned $50,000. Oliveira and Blaydes earned “Performance of the Night.” Whittaker took home “Fight of the Night” honors but Yoel Romero was not ineligible to collect a bonus. That means that Yoels share was awarded to Whittaker. UFC officials announced the winners after the event.

Fighters took home their Reebok Sponsorship Payout totaling $303,000. Leading the way was UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker received a non-title maximum payout of $40,000. Coming in second was Rafael dos Anjos taking home $30,000.

Fighters with 1-3 bouts receive $3,500 per appearance; 4-10 bouts get $5,000; 11-15 bouts earn $10,000; 16-20 bouts pocket $15,000; and 21 bouts and more get $20,000. Additionally, champions earn $40,000 while title challengers get $30,000. Also, UFC fighters will receive in perpetuity royalty payments amounting to 20-30 percent of any UFC merchandise sold that bears their likeness, according to officials.
