UFC breaks promise, Taura MMA signs Contender Series vet Allan Nascimento
Allan Nascimento stood out in the most exciting fight of 2018’s ‘Contender Series: Brazil’. After three very tight rounds, he lost a split decision to Raulian Paiva, who was offered a UFC contract. That night, though, Allan heard from Dana White that he would also have a chance to fight inside the octagon.
Two years later, ‘Puro Osso’ never got the call. Big companies need to keep their word, so Taura MMA offered him a contract.
The 28-year-old wants to live up the expectations being an actual contender, but he will join a flyweight roster with tough fighters such as Bruno ‘Korea’, José Maria ‘No Chance’ and champ Felipe Gheno.
‘Puro Osso’ has compiled a 17-5 record as a pro. After a tough 2019, when he had injuries and fights canceled, Allan is healthy and ready to fight in one of the four events that will be held by Taura later this year.
