Several unidentified UFC employees were robbed at gunpoint Friday in the host city Rio de Janeiro, according to Dana White.
UFC 224 will go ahead as no injuries have been reported. The group was relaxing at a table near the beach as the alleged robbery occurred just hours before weigh-ins began on Friday morning. At this time, it is not believed that any fighters were involved in the incident. ESPN’s Brett Okamoto talked to White,
Just spoke to UFC president Dana White about an incident that is apparently ongoing right now in Brazil. White was just told several employees and others associated with UFC 224 were held up at gunpoint near the host hotel in Rio. No one hurt. Police involved now.
