Zach Makovsky on BRAVE CF 34 opponent: ‘I’m better at everything’

A veteran of mixed martial arts, having fought around the world, Zach Makovsky landed for the first time in Slovenia for his BRAVE Combat Federation debut, which takes place this Sunday (19), at BRAVE CF 34, the first show of the collaboration with leading local promotion WFC. “Fun Size” will take on Velimurad Alkhasov in the main card and is confident that he can get off to a winning start.

Zach says he has studied Alkhasov’s game and has come up with a plan to deal with the weapons the Sambo world champion brings with him to the cage but claims he will only know if his plan is effective on fight night.

“Velimurad is very good, but I think I’m better at everything, skill-wise, but I’m not underestimating him. I don’t know, it’s always interesting when you watch a guy fight and you think how you can match-up with him. But you really don’t know until you get in there”, says Makovsky, who has studied Alkhasov’s game at length and is confident of a win on Sunday night.

“I studied and I think I came up with a strategy that will accentuate my skills and hopefully get the job done. So I’m ready for everything”.

BRAVE CF 34/WFC 24 will be headlined by a WFC Heavyweight title fight between Luka Podkrajsek and Viktor Vasic, while several other interesting bouts will also be on deck for a historic event for the Balkans MMA scene.
